I am thinking of and praying for you all, especially Ms. McManus, as you embark on this unique adventure. May the travel gods be with you, the wind at your back, the Nigerian earth soft and welcoming beneath your feet, and your hearts and minds opened by all you encounter.
I can't wait to hear more!
Thrilled you are in Nigeria and arrived safely. Each of you are in my heart during the days ahead.
I'm sure you are all enjoying your trip by now and far from being homesick, but I will share this anyway...particulary for Jenn.
I attended a beautiful ALFA Dining for Friends party at the River Run Club in Morganton this evening. The theme was Kentucky Derby, the ladies were all sporting their finest hats and the gentlemen in colorful suits. The grass in the surrounding pastures was so green, but still could not compete with the Carolina blue sky with an amazingly clear view of Table Rock in the distance.
We were thinking of you then, sending good wishes your way.
See you soon; miss you already!
